75 Hard Day 2 Drawing the Line in the Sand

Where is your line in the sand? What are you willing or unwilling to accept? Today was a rough start. My alarm didn't go off so I woke up to a big CRASH (my son knocked his fan off its shelf) which, naturally woke my adrenaline then it kicked up a notch when I noticed it was an hour later than I was supposed to get up... I seriously contemplated rolling over and going back to sleep. Then I had a thought. Is that winning? Is that going to get you where you want to be? You are a little off your schedule so what? I got up grabbed my water and my supplements and moved on.

What would it look like if you stopped listening to that negative voice and stood firm with " I can do this!" "I am capable" " I am strong">

Machiavelli states " Where willingness is great the difficulties cannot be." So if you are willing to stand up and wade past the unpleasant there is literally nothing you are incapable of.

You may read this and say "but". No, friend, choose not to be a victim to circumstance. Your health MAY be bad sure, but is that going to prevent you from reaching greatness? Start with chair yoga, or walking laps around your house. Its okay to go from 0-5 instead of all in at once. Its okay to make one healthier choice per day instead of throwing in the whole kit and caboodle and going on a "DIET". Instead of reaching for that second soda-pop or sugary coffee reach for some water. Instead of that cinnamon roll for breakfast eat an egg with some oatmeal and if that is too much, eat HALF of the cinnamon roll.

Small choices add up. And maybe if you are not ready to completely give up that sweet treat just add in some extra protein.

The book "The Slight Edge" outlines this concept that consistent good choices eventually produce BIG results. So on the days you don't feel like facing that mountain of dishes piling up or go on that walk remind yourself...

I drew my line in the sand and I am UNwilling to go back to where I was and DO THE THING!
